With 7+ years of dedicated experience in education, I am passionate about empowering students to reach their academic goals. As a full-time tutor and classroom instructor, I specialize in helping students elevate their test scores (SAT/ACT/HSEE) while also providing guidance in other areas, such as math/English classes and personal statements for college applications. Prior to joining Academic Approach and Quad Education, leading test prep agencies, I collaborated with the Orange County Department of Education to support foster and at-risk youth. I've also worked with top agencies like TutorNerds and Tutor Doctor. As a graduate of UCLA and the University of Chicago in English, I am a wordsmith and grammar expert when it comes to crafting personal statements for any application, especially college applications. In fact, I thoroughly enjoy working with students and parents on these essays; it's incredibly rewarding to see students learn more deeply about who they are throughout the process (let alone the excitement of getting into their top schools!) I've worked in all types of settings: classrooms, 1-on-1 (in person/virtual), and small groups. I've been told by students and parents that I explain the subject material in a way that's engaging and easy for the student to understand. Through a blend of teaching and subject expertise, I meet students where they are to facilitate a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
