After scoring in the 99th percentile to gain admission to Claremont Graduate University for an Econ PhD, I decided to share my knowledge and techniques with my tutees. This includes my reading comprehension strategy, vocabulary tricks, approaches to the toughest combinatorics problems, as well as baseline test-taking strategy. Over the course of working with over 150 clients on this test, which is now accepted as a substitute for the LSAT by many top Law Schools, I have honed in on the key strategies that can improve anyone's experience with, and score on, this grueling test. About Alex

I was trained as an economist; however, after a year of tutoring, I opted out of pursuing a PhD at Claremont Graduate University. The transmission of knowledge to the next generation in a limpid, digestible manner became paramount to me over the course of 8+ years of teaching and tutoring students of all ages and learning persuasions. Whatever your academic dream may be, I know I can help.

Why do I coach?

I've had three mentors who have coached me: Jose, at UCLA, in the foreign exchange market; Bill, at the MOT, in historiography; and Julie, at Kaplan, in customer service. Without their input, guidance and unwavering challenge, I would not have the character that I have today. I have synthesized their methods and approaches to mentoring and put them into action with all my clients, inculcating systemic approaches, disciplined thinking, conscientiousness and courtesy, and endurance.
