When students are preparing for the SAT test, they often assume that the test will consist of all the concepts that they have seen in high school. While this is partly true, interestingly enough, there are many concepts present on both tests that are not taught in traditional high school courses. Some examples include single dashes, the circle equation, constants, evidence based reading, etc. The list goes on and on. In my experience, teaching students these concepts and applying them to real practice SAT test questions is a game changer for scoring higher. Besides actual concepts, I have developed simple strategies to use on each of the sections of the test that have been proven to higher scores for all of the students I have worked with (hundreds of points higher).
