Ilesh’s MBA Qualifications

Hi all! I am currently a student at Northwestern's MMM Program, pursuing a dual-degree that combines an MBA from Kellogg School of Management with an MS in Design Innovation from the Segal Design Institute. Prior to my studies, I worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where I gained extensive experience in various industries and functional areas, including marketing, sales, pricing, and sustainability. At BCG, I contributed to a wide range of projects, ranging from operational improvements for a parcel logistics company to new product development for fleet decarbonization. With my strong background in strategy and design, I am well-equipped to help aspiring MBA candidates navigate the application process and achieve their goals. About Ilesh

Hey there! I'm Ilesh, and I'm currently in Northwestern's MMM Program, an innovative dual-degree experience combining an MBA with an MS in Design Innovation. This unique program weaves a rigorous business education with a deep dive into design innovation, equipping students to tackle today's challenges creatively. Before Northwestern, I worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group, focusing on a wide variety of industry and functional practice areas, including: 'Marketing, Sales, & Pricing', Travel/Tourism, Logistics, Industrial Goods, Sustainability, and CPG. My projects ranged from driving operational excellence for a parcel company to designing the loyalty program for a cruise-line to creating a new sustainability product to help with fleet decarbonization. I plan to return to BCG after Northwestern with a long-term goal of working in sports business strategy. I like to say that the theme in my background is that there is no common theme - I've found most joy in finding [seemingly random] interdisciplinary connections. This approach has not only enriched my professional journey but also allowed me to guide others in weaving their own unique narratives. If you're eager to carve out your own story, explore unconventional academic avenues, or pursue a career in consulting, I'm here to support you. My coaching philosophy is rooted in honesty—striking a balance between praise and constructive feedback, always paired with actionable strategies for growth and improvement.

Why do I coach?

I coach because, honestly, I wouldn’t be where I am today without a bunch of people who took the time to help me out. My path’s been all over the place – from varied academic experiences to aiming for a longer-term career that’s a bit off the beaten track (sports management!). And to get through all that? I had guidance that made a huge difference. Now, I just want to be that person for someone else, helping them navigate their own twists and turns.
