About Cesar

Welcome to my profile! I attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, where I graduated in 2021. As a medical student, I helped the Admissions Committee interview candidates and host information sessions for prospective students. These experiences equipped me with firsthand knowledge of the intricacies of the medical school admissions process. I have also mentored over 15 students as they have applied to medical school, helping top students obtain acceptances from prestigious schools such as Stanford and Yale. I have also successfully assisted second-time applicants with below-average GPAs and MCATs in obtaining medical school admissions. With the changing landscape of medical school admissions, it is crucial to prove to the committee that you are a well-rounded, non-cookie cutter individual who will excel in and out of the classroom. I go beyond personal statements, secondaries, letters of rec, and school lists to help bolster your confidence with interviews, thank you letters, navigating scholarships, years-off, and your overall "package" you are trying to convey to the admissions committee. I make myself extremely available to both applicants and their parents, providing real, truthful feedback to ensure your success. Reach out to me today and let's work together to create a winning application!

Why do I coach?

I coach because I understand the immense value of receiving guidance and support throughout an increasingly arduous application process. The journey towards a career in medicine is incredibly challenging, and having a knowledgeable mentor can make all the difference in navigating the intricate requirements, crafting compelling applications, and ultimately securing a coveted spot in a prestigious program. As someone who has personally benefited from the guidance of mentors and coaches, I understand the profound impact they can have on an applicant's success. By sharing my experiences and insights, I hope to pay it forward and empower others to navigate the challenging application process with confidence and determination.
